life lesson #003-funny people vs. funny looking people

Ya i know I haven't done one of these in a long time but I have just been obsessing over Halloween that I haven't been thinking about anything else but now that it is over I am free to obsess over Christmas, as well as my birthday which is the day after  Christmas  (which is only like a month and 24 days away) but who's counting.

The way that I feel about the winter season is bittersweet.

I love but at the same time I wish I could step on it, put it through a paper shredder, then stuff it down my trash compactor :).

The winter season is also when all of my friends and family say that I am at my craziest. I have been told that I am at my funniest which I find completely untrue. I am funny twenty-four, freaking, seven..........bee-atch.

I have also been told that I am funny looking but I have been told that they actually mean that I am funny. if that makes any sense at all.

That is what I wanted to talk about today. There is a big difference between being funny and being funny looking. I am not a funny looking person, at least I don't think so, I may not be the prettiest but I am definitely not funny looking. I do admit that I do make some funny looking facial expressions but my normal face is not funny looking.

Honestly people LEARN HOW TO SPEAK FREAKING ENGLISH!! funny people and funny looking people are not the same thing.

I'm gonna start ranting if I go on any longer so I'm just gonna stop here.

Halloween costume change

Hey so in my last post I was talking all about being Elmo for Halloween. I was so excited for it. I couldn't wait.

well, guess what.

I can't be Elmo. :(

I was so sad that out of all the places I went to, not a single store, had a freaking Elmo costume..........but they did have my back up plan.

HALLOWEEN!!!!

I love October. Not because of Thanksgiving, when you get to eat your heart out and might possibly explode from over eating, but because of HALLOWEEN!!!!

I absolutely adore Halloween because you are allowed to dress up in freaky, crazy, weird or funny costumes and not be criticized by people who would probably think that you belong in a mental hospital if you dressed like that any other day.

There is another part of Halloween that I just love is, you guessed it, the candy. There is no other time of the year that you can take candy from strangers and not have it be weird.

I adore Halloween and I get so into the Halloween spirit that I go a LITTLE crazy. An example of my craziness is that last Halloween I went trick or treating, and yes I still go trick-or-treating even though I am in high school......I'm not gonna pass up a chance to get free candy. Last year I went  dressed as a zombie witch. I did such a good job making myself look deceased that parents started pulling their kids away from me, and the people who have actually seen a GOOD zombie movie started to run away from me.

I plan on going trick-or-treating this year as a giant Elmo. Then after Halloween is done I plan on walking around a mall in the costume with my friends dressed as big bird and cookie monster. Here's a picture of the Elmo costume I want:



I am going to be the most bad-ass person going trick or treating this year and you better bet that I am going to go walk around a mall in this costume yelling "I'M ELMO!!!". It's going to be awesome!

 This video has to be the stupidest video I have ever seen but it is kind of funny 

RANTING (again)

You may notice that I have done something different but this video means a lot to me because this guy is saying something that I have been trying to say to other people , as well as myself, because all my life I have had people tell me that I am not good enough or that I don't matter and I have been told that so many times that I have actually started to believe it. That may not be the point of this video but this is really something that I have to get off my chest. 

The whole point to this video, to me, is that you should be able to express who they really are  without having to feel the need to hide behind a false image that they have created. As long as you have people who love you or even just like you, for you, that's all you need.

I've, somewhat, gotten over the fact that I won't be good enough for certain people and I'm okay with it. You'll learn in life that not everyone is going to like anything about you. Even if they act like they are your best friend.

And just to make it clear I am not looking for sympathy because I'm not good enough for a lot of people. I'm ojkay with that, and you should be too.

Ranting

I swear people can sometimes give you the dirtiest looks for your appearance. Like, I'll just be sitting in a park eating a cookie and people will be looking at me like 'oh my god! look at that girl. Why is she eating a cookie? she's so fat already I don't think she needs the extra carbs!' Or whatever people are so obsessed with for some reason I don't really care about, it's one freaking cookie like relax. ooh no I'm gonna die after eating one little cookie. Well, you know what? I'd rather die from eating a cookie being happy and fat, than dying a depressed little girl who hasn't eaten a single cookie cause she's afraid of looking like me.

I'm telling you right now, I'm proud of what I look like. Yes, it hurts when people make fun of me for the way I look but you learn to just brush it off because the only reason that people make fun of the way another person looks is because they are insecure or they want to feel bigger than people who they think are beneath them because they are 'prettier', 'perfect' or' miss "I always have the newest things"'. Guess what 'prettier is just a label, nobodies perfect and  as for having the newest things? They are just material things. Don't have people like you because of what you have, get people to like you for you because I guarantee that half of the friends those kind of people have are just friends with them for the stuff they have.

My advice to you , if you have ever gone through this, Is to love yourself for the way you are. Do what I do, brush it off because people are just trying to make you feel bad, and as for the people who rub it in peoples faces that they have all the things that everyone else doesn't have? say that's nice cause you will have something that they will probably never have.....It's called friends.

I'm sorry that I was ranting, and half of those paragraphs up there probably make no sense at all, but I had to get this off  chest 'cause this is something that people do to me all the time and I think it's pointless.

Okay, I'm gonna end this post before I start another tirade.

Life lesson #002.5-Introductions (continued)

It has recently come to my attention that i never properly introduced myself. I was reading my first post and I was obsessing about how vague I was.

So here we go, my name is Chelsea and I attend Senator O'Connor high school. I love art, reading, music, and soccer. My top 5 favourite bands/artists are evanescence, panic at the disco, secondhand serenade, my chemical romance, and simple plan.

I live in Toronto with my mom, dad, younger brother, grandmother, grandfather, aunt and an adorable, little, four month old, puppy which I adore.

I'm not the type of person who will trust people easily, but I have many friends (in and out of school). I will be honest and say that I have my share of people who hate me but I don't hate a lot of people who hate me, maybe one or two. I wouldn't say that I get mad easily, but if you ask anybody else they would say I do. 

I'm a hard worker and have to finish a project or I start to get a bit obsessive. 

My opinion on school is that it is bittersweet. I love seeing all my friends and I like spending time away from my house, cause staying at home all day can get really boring, and some of my teachers are really cool. Then there are the negatives. There are a lot of people who hate me for no particular reason, I hate homework, I  hate the crowded hallways, and there ALWAYS seems to be someone in front of my locker.

I have thought about killing myself but then i always have people telling me that I shouldn't and I have to think about what it would do to the people who love me. It's funny because the same people who are telling me those things are the same people who made start wanting to end my life.

I don't know what I want to do when I get out of school, but I have a lot of time to think about that. I know I definitely will NOT end up like a lot of the people I know.

Well, that's all I think I'm allowed to say on the Internet. The rest is a little too personal.

I'm Different and I am proud of it.

You be different of your individuality. It's what makes you, you, and you is pretty damn amazing.

life lesson #002-first impressions



First impressions. They can either be good or they can be bad. No matter what kind of impression you make, first impressions are always important.

I remember the first time I ever made a bad first impression. It was really bad. I don't think Ive ever been more embarrassed in my entire life, but that was one of the rare times that I knew that I made a bad impression. Most of the time I don't think that anyone knows that they are making a bad impression. They may just be thinking that they are just being themselves, but sometimes being yourself could mean being incredibly obnoxious. Trust me, I know.

The point is that I suggest being yourself, I always will suggest being yourself, but wait until you get to know the person a little bit more until you start to act like your normal, crazy, self. Just wait, it'll help.

As I post more (which I hope I will do) you will notice that I will start to rant, and it may get a little annoying, just sayin'. :)

life lesson #001-Introductions

 

Well, I guess I'll start with introducing myself. My name is Chelsea. Hi. I love art, reading, music, and you.

 I don't know if this applies to the rest of you but most of the time the people I end up getting introduced to become some of my best friends. Still there are those very awkward intros. You know them. The ones that make you want to run away and hide. I know I've had them, and I'm pretty sure that you've had them too. There are also those few introductions that have people leave thinking of you as their worst enemy and that's what I want to talk about. I've had my share of enemies after just a simple 'hello'.

It bugs me. You don't know me. you don't have a right to even say one bad thing about me. How can you say you don't like me when you never even tried to get to know me? Am I the only one you hate after one meeting? probably not, but it still hurts when you talk to me like you've known me all your life and have actually gotten to know me when you haven't. 

My advice to you about these very weird, and kind of discriminating introductions, is to be the happiest person you can be when you are around them (and everywhere else for that matter). It drives them crazy to see that you are as happy as you have ever been after meeting them. And this applies to everyone you have ever met or will ever meet who has/will dislike you.

People have been putting me down my whole life and I've learned to just brush it off and keep going. There is no point in obssessing over just one little person. you have people who love you, for you, I know I'm one of them. I know I love you because your not acting like someone your not. Regardless of all this ranting hard times that people will put you through, Love being introduced to new people. Not all people will be as bitter towards you as other people will be. Like me. I may not know who you are right now, but I hope you will learn to love yourself as much as I do.
